The beginning of all. Osvaldo González

The beginning of all begins with two installations in which the author once again privileges the treatment of light, the primary element of visuality. Such use stands out mainly in Resin, with which the interior of the room intervened and which consists of a kind of walls made with adhesive tape and led light. The other piece, September, is composed of twenty small light screens made with the technique of acrylic, adhesive tape, led light and resin, the latter element novel in this type of proposal of his, already awarded in 2018 during the 15th International Fair of Contemporary Art Zona Maco of Mexico. Such a procedure gives his pieces a depth that mocks the two-dimensional character of the painting. In them, a repeated component of his work, the self-referential, appears in the recreation of the domestic space and in the titles he assigned to them. In particular, in which he includes the names of his wife and daughter: the family. The beginning of everything. Resina, con la cual intervino el interior de la sala y que consiste en una especie de muros realizados con cinta adhesiva y luz led. La otra pieza, Septiembre, está compuesta por veinte pequeñas pantallas de luz realizadas con la técnica de acrílico, cinta adhesiva, luz led y resina, elemento este último novedoso en tal tipo de propuesta suya, ya premiado en 2018 durante la 15 Feria Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo Zona Maco de México. Tal procedimiento, dota a sus piezas de una profundidad que burla el carácter bidimensional de la pintura. En ellas, un reiterado componente de su obra, lo autorreferencial, aparece en la recreación del espacio doméstico y en los títulos que les asignó. De modo particular en los que incluye los nombres de su esposa y de su hija: la familia. El principio de todo.
